The Danson Show 2008
The club was at the Danson Show on the 5th and 6th of July 2008.
The Danson Festival of 2008 was the venue for 'Duel in The Park 2008' the second year of the invitational competition designed to bring together local fencing clubs and organisations to showcase the sport. Well supported by Leon Paul and B&Q (our thanks go out to them) the event was held in Bexley's very own 'temporary fencing salle' and the fine weather bought out the crowds that stood several ranks deep as they watched the competition. There were six teams and Bexley's A team came out the eventual winners in a closely fought final with Gravesham. The event was a huge success to judge by the interest shown. You can find out more about Duel in The Park here. Our special thanks go to our guests and everyone who came to support us.

THe BFC Annual Dinner
The club's annual dinner was held on December 8th at the Nag's Head in Welling and we had an excellent turnout again. The food and drink were plentiful and Our illustrious Chairperson kept his speech reasonably short (for him!) The Len Camin award went to Kola for his exceptional season in competition and he, in turn, gave out prizes to some of his 'targets' through the year. A trophy was given to Jack for his continuing support for the club, celebrating the past, present and future. Much merriment was had by all.

The Danson Show 2007
The club was at the Danson Show on the 30th of June and the 1st of July 2007.
The Danson Festival of 2007 was the venue for 'Duel in The Park 2007' an invitational competition designed to bring together local fencing clubs and organisations to showcase the sport. Unfortunately the event on Saturday was in the open and badly effected by the unseasonable weather. The competition itself was deemed a 'draw' but the event itself was a success to judge by the interest shown. You can find out more about Duel in The Park here. Our special thanks go to our guests and everyone who came to support us.

The BFC Annual Dinner
The clubs annual dinner was held on Saturday December 9th 2006.
Around fifty attended the 2006 dinner at the Nags Head in Welling. We were able to take over the whole of the restaurant area and were treated to good food along with plenty of wine and other drinks. The whole evening was one full of fun and games, good conversation and plenty of laughing and joking.
For the serious part of the evening we awarded certificates for those that attended the September beginners course and passed their Grade 3 foil award. There was also the inaugural awarding of the Len Camin Trophy for the most improved fencer at the club. Voted for by the club’s coaches and given to Scott. Ralph’s speech thanked all those that had helped in various ways through the year including a bouquet for Karen, our club secretary.
For the club and it’s members it was a chance to bring along and meet family and friends, some of those that support the club in so many ways and yet do not fence themselves.

The Danson Show 2006
The club was at the Danson Show on the 1st and 2nd of July 2006.
We put on a display of Fencing in one of the 'pods' between 10 and 12 on both the Saturday and Sunday. The show was well attended by the club members, around a dozen or so, ably supported by family and friends on both days. The excellent weather made sure that the show was packed on both days and we had a good number of enquiries and interest in the display. We will have photos of the show in our gallery soon. Some of the enquiries were about our upcoming beginner's course that will start in September. We would like to thank Bexley Council for their invitation to the show and hope to be at Danson again in 2007.
